FAT LOSS: TIME TO FISH OR CUT BAIT
Tens of thousands of people want to lose weight. A tiny fraction actually do so and keep it off. Most either do not try or only put forth a half hearted attempt to get slimmer and healthier.
Lots of folks tend to hide behind the excuse that they cannot find a diet that fits their needs and lifestyle or that there are so many diets on the market that it is impossible to choose the right one. Well, the truth is that there are a lot of diets out there and even more to the point, most all of them are temporarily beneficial at best or just plain do not work and are a waste of time and money at worst.
Consider for a moment why most weight loss efforts fail. There are a few common reasons and most of us have been there at one time or another.
1. We get on some extreme regime, lose weight while forcing ourselves to adhere to said regime but when the time frame for dieting ends, we regain the weight and often some more to boot.
2. We force ourselves to eat only the food that the diet program dictates and we flat cannot stand it for very long. So we end up cheating while we diet or we dump the diet all together and get back to what we are used to eating.
3. We go on some sort of food consumption routine that in one form or another is basically a starvation diet. We lose weight but we go crazy in the process. Hunger ends up driving us off the diet cliff and we fail.
4. We get enamored with the glitter and hype surrounding some trendy diet fad that is purportedly used by Hollywood celebrities to produce the greatest, sexiest bodies on the planet. We get hooked by the infomercial and the rest is history. We never become a movie star and we get no where near those ideal physiques.
All of which raises the obvious question: why bother with this weight loss stuff at all? If it is not going to work or we cannot live with the inherent demands, why waste the time and money required just to end up fat and frustrated?
Well, sorry to be the harbinger of bad news here but the time has come for those of us carrying too much fat to either fish or cut bait. Either go about your life with all those excess fatty deposits and live, or maybe die, with them or get off your backside and get into a weight loss system that works and is not self-defeating.
Where, should you be serious about getting slimmer and healthier, can you find such a diet program? First, make note of where not to look.
1. Do not expect to find it via an infomercial;
2. Do not follow some celebrity endorsement since it is bought and paid for;
3. Ignore all of the trendy fads since they all come and go and none have staying power;
4. Avoid dieting based upon junk science that is also bought and paid for and tends to the extreme;
5. Skip going to the bookstore and spending a bunch of cash to buy some diet bible that takes weeks to read and understand and leaves you to figure out the details;
6. Do not subscribe to a program that delivers your meals to your home which is massively inconvenient and provides elf portion meals.
Instead, get with a program you can download on your computer and start immediately. Make sure it provides a very wide variety of menus that are based upon the foods you like to eat. In other words, that is has a customized diet generator that does all that work for you. It will need to provide an accurate and complete calorie chart and it must be a routine that utilizes your natural fat burning processes.
