Adhesive tapes are used for sticking things to each other. They come in many types and each of the type has various uses. Uses of this material range from sealing boxes to making of costumes in different regions and cultures. Pressure sensitive tape is a type of a sticker that consists of pressure sensitive sticker normally coated on a backing material such as paper, plastic or even metal.
Adhesive tapes come in various types which are used for various reasons in different parts of the world. Water activated sticker is used as manufacturers joint for boxes made of corrugated fiberboard. The heated activated stickers are tack free until they are activated by a heat source and are normally used in packaging cigarette.
The drywall sticker is made from paper, cloth or mesh. It is normally used for making joints between sheets of drywall materials. The duct or duck sticker is a vinyl, fabric-reinforced, multi-purpose sticker with a soft and tacky sticker. It comes in silver black or even transparent. This is mainly used to repair military equipment including jeeps, firearms and aircrafts.
Adhesive tapes have many uses, for instance, the duct type has been used in engineering in certain emergency cases. Astronauts have also been known to use the duct sticker in the course of their work. This has also been used in laboratories in many instances. Unbelievable as it may sound, this sticker has been used before to make formal wear, Christmas costumes as well as model ships and vehicles. Another type of this sticker is the masking band made of a thin and easy-to-tear paper which is available in a variety of widths. It I normally used in paintings to mask off areas not to be painted.
