The use of die cut machines is also increasingly popular ; in recent times a number of electronic die-cutting machines resembling a plotter with a drag knife have hit the market, enabling scrappers to use their computer to create die cuts out of any shape or font with the use of free or 3rd party software.
Anything, in fact, that might help tell the story of a special point in time. If the items are too massive to be included you could scan or image them to use in your layouts. Actually, as you get more experienced you get faster, but that's not always the case. As you learn more techniques and start using more gildings and mediums, it can take even longer to create your pages! But that's what scrapbooking is about!
