Once you've made the decision to purchase a Cricut machine and Cricut cartridges is the right move for you, the next decision is what Cricut cartridges to start with.

Each Cricut cartridge holds and stores die cut information. By inserting a cartridge into the Cricut machine, you can choose from any of the die cuts saved on that cartridge to print out.

When selecting a cartridge, you should consider what types of projects you will be completing. That will help you narrow down your choices as you browse the thousands of available Cricut cartridges. There are Cricut font cartridges. Provo Craft, the creator of the Cricut, also has started distributing another type of cartridge called Cricut Solutions. They are cheaper than the original or classic cartridges, costing about $49. They feature a new style and packaging and offer 50 designs and two creative features that are mostly shadow and blackout/shadow blackout. There are shape cartridges including baseball, soccer, welding and campout and font cartridges including stone script, street sign and Sans serif.

The great thing about Cricut is Provo Craft continues to develop new cartridges all the time, so you never get to the bottom of the list! Shopping for new cartridges is always a fun way to think of new, creative projects you can make!
