Wedding venues, wedding entourage, wedding gifts, wedding invites, and the rest are the things that would require a lot of planning for your big date in front of the altar. Your list of tasks seems to be endless and requires complete attention that would even constrict your time and budget. The wedding guest book is also part of the “important things “ list. It is not just a means of knowing who attended your wedding but also recall their quick but sincere messages to you and your partner as newlyweds, if there were a space for messages.

The traditional wedding guest book would just normally look plain and basic with just white pages and covers with guests signing in their names. But with the modern times, you may want to consider a new approach. You can include an easy to follow instruction on the sides of the page telling them to not just write their names but include a short message or two. These might include fond memories shared with the couple as friends or some trivial footnotes about how the couple met and fell for each other. But if you want to remain safe and conservative, you can just stay contented with the remarks that are already a cliché to most.

Remember that it would be a lot more interesting if we would try being creative and adventurous once in a while. Maybe even a quick but witty compliment of how great the guest book looks like would be something new. Any remark should leave a lasting impact to everyone who gets a chance to read it, most especially to the couple. Did you even know that nowadays you can even include photos and make your wedding guest book to look like a scrapbook? Many say that it carries a more interactive look and approach that would encourage everyone to really leave a message. The special messages and wishes from the guests and friends could carry greater impact if there would be pictures included. You can even instruct your guests to where they would place their pics. Be formal or humorous, whatever is your choice but avoid spilling out the more personal things that you think is not anymore appropriate for everybody to know.

Add a new element to your wedding guest book. Feel free to experiment. What is most important is for you to be able to create something interesting and creative for your guests to enjoy and appreciate. Remember that upon deciding between what is traditional and innovative, your guest book should be a perfect match to your overall wedding theme. That is a must do above all. This is mostly overlooked due to being such a small detail but to prepare for it and see it as a huge thing to plan about would make your wedding more memorable. The wedding guest book is important and you would need it by the time that you would look back to your special day and relive all the memories you have made with your most precious loved ones.
